Budget Watch

The PSAC, other labour unions, the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, the Ecology Action Centre, ACORN, the Canadian Federation of Students,  and other community groups gathered in the Cal Best Boardroom  to watch and comment on the first budget from this Liberal government. 

A touching moment occurred when Br Chris DiLiberatore, moderator, asked for a moment of silence in memory of Br Mike McNeil, past president of CUPE NS who passed away in his sleep a few weeks previous.  Thanks are extended to Sr Colleen Hodder who presented on behalf of the PSAC Atlantic and the NS Area Council1 for organizing and hosting the event.
