Federal Government Employees Boycott National Public Service Week Due to Phoenix Pay System

SUMMERSIDE, PEI – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) employed by the Government of Canada will be boycotting National Public Service Week (NPSW) and asking the government to fix the Phoenix Pay System. The NPSW started yesterday and will run until the 17th.

The event marks the importance and contribution of federal public service employees, who are proud to provide the services Canadians depend on. Yet thousands are still having financial troubles because they are not being paid correctly or on time.

WHAT: Union-sponsored BBQ to raise awareness about the Phoenix Pay System

WHEN: Tuesday, June 13th, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Green Shore, 560 Water Street, Summerside
