Despite all the magic of social media, letters still pack a serious punch. A letter to the editor, to an MP, to your municipal councilor can make important inroads. PSAC members know more than almost anyone about the public services we provide, and we are best equipped to speak up and write up when these services are under attack.
Last night, PSAC Atlantic held its first Telephone Town Hall meeting that invited all the region’s members to talk about key issues affecting our union.
Thanks to everyone who joined the call last night. Over 3200 PSAC Atlantic members were on the line for the English language call, and some 260 for the French language call.
If you didn’t receive a call, please update your contact information with your regional office or through our national website: https://psacunion.ca/user/register
We hope to have a recording of the meeting available on our regional website soon. Stay tuned to: http://psacatlantic.ca/
Our apologies!
Due to technical difficulties, our French language telephone town hall on Wednesday evening ended abruptly just before the end of the call. However, we do have the comments and the questions you left on the call.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated both of our calls. We appreciate your taking the time to talk with your union.
We hope to do more in future.
Once again our apologies to the members on the French language call.
Jeannie Baldwin
Atlantic Regional Executive Vice-President
