Amendments to the Canada Labour Code Part II received Royal Assent in December 2013. Please be advised that the coming into force date of the amendments to Part II of the Canada Labour Code has been set for October 31, 2014 by Treasury Board.
The amended guidance documents will be posted on the Labour Canada website prior to the coming into force date. Additional details regarding Union training to highlight the changes to Part II resulting from the enactment of Bill C-4 will be forthcoming. Please see the attached document that was published in the Canada Gazette Part II on June 18, 2014.
