Federal budget falls short on reinvestments in public services and the workers who deliver them

HALIFAX, NS – The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) welcomes the modest investments in public services announced in this year’s budget, but we are disappointed that it did not go far enough to restore the services Canadians rely on and the respect public sector workers deserve.

In 1966, the United Nations proclaimed March 21st as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

While there has been some progress with respect to racial justice, racism persists in Canadian society, there has also been some erosion of human rights over the past decade.
