FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 27, 2020 PSAC Members Reach Tentative Agreement with Serco HAPPY VALLEY GOOSE BAY, NL – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) employed by Serco at 5 Wing Goose Bay reached a tentative agreement over the weekend. Jonathon Cull, Local President, comments on the tentative agreement: ‘This is an agreement that works for both parties. We were able to improve our members’ working conditions and continue building on our working relationship with Serco’s management team.’

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 24, 2020Professional and Technical Staff Union reach tentative agreement with University of New BrunswickFredericton, NB - Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 60551, which represents over 370 members who work for The University of New Brunswick (UNB), Saint John and Fredericton campuses reached a tentative agreement with UNB. These employees provide a broad range of services to students, faculty and other staff.

Saint John, August 30, 2019 – The members of the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE), a component of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) working at Saint John Airport, voted last night in favour of a strike mandate. “The members have given their bargaining team a strong strike mandate, by a large majority. Our members are prepared to fight for what they want, so the table is set for the last day of mediation on September 5,” said Colleen Coffey, Regional Executive Vice-President of PSAC-Atlantic.

Halifax, NS – Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 80375 which represents over 80 Commissionaires who work at Halifax Harbour Bridges and Halifax Regional Police has reached a tentative agreement with Commissionaires Nova Scotia, narrowly missing a strike/lockout deadline of May 31, 2019.

Halifax, NS – Collective bargaining has broken down between Commissionaires Nova Scotia and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 80375 the union representing over 80 Commissionaires at Halifax Harbour Bridges and Halifax Regional Police Headquarters. Time is running out as these workers approach their May 31 legal Strike/Lockout deadline, and they are taking their demands for a fair contract to the streets.

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – Agriculture Union local 90004 in partnership with the Public Service Alliance of Canada – Atlantic Region, purchased a 1060 lb 4-H steer at the 68th Annual PEI Easter Beef Sale that was held on March 29, 2019.  And as the Easter weekend approaches, island residents who use food banks will find the union’s Easter Beef donation waiting for them.

SAINT JOHN, NB – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will hold a lunchtime rally at Saint John-Rothesay Member of Parliament Wayne Long’s constituency office on Thursday. They are among some 140,000 federal public sector workers who are outraged by the federal government’s lack of movement in contract negotiations.  Members will rally outside Long’s office before their representatives meet with the MP inside at 12:30pm.
