FREDERICTON, NB – Members of the Union of Graduate Student Workers (UGSW), Local 60550, at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton and Saint John) met on February 29 and March 1st to review and vote on the employer’s final offer. This vote has resulted in 72% rejection of that Final Offer!  See attached news release for more information.

Negotiating team for the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) representing the Union of Graduate Student Workers (UGSW), Local 60550, at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton and Saint John) is not surprised from the CBC News report which highlights that the University of New Brunswick has the highest amount of sexual violence cases reported from September 1 and December 9, 2015 making it the university with highest number of cases reported across the province.

FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION    September 4, 2015    Veterans Under Attack by Provincial Government   CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) local 90140 employed by the NB-PEI Division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires who are contracted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Prince County Hospital are outraged that the provincial government is outsourcing their job to a Vancouver security firm and therefore issuing lay-off notices to 40 commissionaires.

HALIFAX, July 14, 2015 /CNW/ - The Public Service Alliance of Canada is today launching a nationwide campaign to remind Canadians about the impact of cuts to public services before they vote in the federal election. At the 2015 PSAC national convention, delegates directed the union to campaign and raise public awareness about the impact of cuts to public services by the Harper Conservatives.
