This week we received final confirmation from Treasury Board that the signing of the FB agreement will take place on March 17th at 11:00 a.m., in Ottawa.

Employer submits application to Public Service Labour Relations Board for establishment of a Public Interest Commission.

Last week mediation broke down when it became clear that the government and CRA were not prepared to address critical issues that our bargaining team raised in this round of negotiations, while at the same time pushing for a contract expiration date that would allow for the employer to propose attacks on our sick leave in negotiations later this year.

Following our successful telephone town hall that was held on January 15th (click here to listen), this is to let you know that our Atlantic Regional Executive Vice-President, Jeannie Baldwin, will be hosting another one, this time on the issue of sick leave.

Conciliation dates have been set with Canada Post for March 15-16.

Government pushing for an agreement that would expire later this year

Mediation broke down February 27 as the government and CRA refused to address critical issues raised in this round of bargaining, from significant protections for our jobs to compensation to the duration of our collective agreement.
