Just one week after PSAC started a new round of negotiations with Parks Canada, PSAC members at the KouchibouguacNational Parkplantgated and partied to rally support. Members of the executive also engaged the visiting public, distributing postcards and first aid kits.
From June 23 to 26, 2011, PSAC Atlantic members converged in St. John’s, NL, for the 5th Triennial Atlantic Regional Convention was held. With 278 delegates, 55 observers and 16 guests in attendance, it was the Atlantic’s largest convention yet.

Some PSAC members were among the participants to this first annual celebration for the National Aboriginal Day.
June 21st was proclaimed in 1996 by former Governor General of Canada Roméo Leblanc and years later the Greater Moncton will now have its annual celebration.

To celebrate the National Aboriginal Day, the Greater Moncton Human Rights Committee took advantage of its last meeting on June 14th. Guéganne Martin Doucet, a Mik'maq painter/sculptor artist from the Shédiac region and originally from Escuminac, New Brunswick,was invited to do a presentation on the making of a dream catcher, its history and origin.
