PSAC members to rally outside conservative MP Rodney Weston’s office

SAINT JOHN, NB - Public Service Alliance of Canada members will be rallying for 15 minutes outside conservative MP Rodney Weston’s office during their lunch hour to tell him that they will not give away their sick leave and other hard earned benefits protected in their collective agreement.

“Treasury Board recently put forth a demand at the bargaining table to take away our sick leave.  We will put up the fight of our lives to protect this hard earned benefit! ’’says Jeannie Baldwin, PSAC Atlantic Regional Executive Vice-President.  She also adds: “If we let them take away this important benefit, they will then come after our pension.  This government has no respect whatsoever for the important services that our members deliver and all they want to accomplish is lower the working conditions of not only our members, but every Canadian worker.  We are working diligently with our members and community partners to defeat this anti-worker government in 2015.”

WHEN: Wednesday, October 15th at 12:05 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: 65 Canterbury Street and walking to 90 King Street (Rodney Weston’s office), Saint John, NB
