New Phoenix pay system: federal employees ask Judy Foote to be paid

ST. JOHN’S – On August 18, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and public service employees will rally in Public Services and Procurement Canada Minister Judy Foote’s home province to ask the government to fix the broken Phoenix pay system.

PSAC National Executive Vice-President Chris Aylward and Union of National Defence Employees (UNDE) President John MacLennan will hold a press conference prior to the rally.

The implementation of the Phoenix pay system has caused major problems for more than 80 000 federal public service workers. Problems are persisting.
