Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada Rally for a Fair Collective Agreement
NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR– On September 26, members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be rallying across the province at various workplaces demanding that their employer, the Government of Canada, negotiates a fair collective agreement in a timely manner.
Colleen Coffey, Regional Executive Vice-President for PSAC’s Atlantic Region comments on the slow state of bargaining: ‘After two years of hardships under Phoenix, PSAC members continue to show up to work every day and deliver the services Canadians depend on. The least this government can do is negotiate a collective agreement that recognizes the value of their work and the importance of the services they provide to Canadians. Prime Minister Trudeau promised a new and respectful relationship with public service workers, but delays at the bargaining table tell a different story’
