PSAC to Mark 2nd Anniversary of Phoenix with National Day of Action

CORNER BROOK, NL – Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) members in Corner Brook will be taking action to mark the second anniversary of the disastrous Phoenix pay system February 28, 2018.

The event is part of a national day of action by federal public service workers from coast to coast to coast who continue to suffer the terrible consequences of the Phoenix debacle.

PSAC demands that Prime Minister Trudeau deliver:

  1. An immediate end to forcing workers to repay the gross amount when they’ve been mistakenly overpaid – which is more than they’ve even received.

  2. A permanent increase of compensation advisors in both the departments and the pay centre to run the system and help our members with their pay problems.

  3. Damages for the many hardships Phoenix has caused these workers, including untold stress, and the time spent dealing with their pay problems.
