PSAC members and community groups join together for a ceremonial tree planting

 

ST. ANDREWS, NB – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be joined by members of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) and Save Ocean Science (SOS) to plant trees in order to repair the local environment.

 

“Every month, our members from the Atlantic Region are taking different actions in highlighting the number 19 in order to bring attention on the importance of the next federal election’’says Jeannie Baldwin, PSAC Atlantic Regional Executive Vice-President.  She also adds: “In this case, we have local union members working with community groups in order to rebuild the local environment and bringing a positive impact in their local community.”

 

Speakers will include: Jeff Irwin, National Vice-President of the Union of Environment Workers (UEW) and John Castell, retired scientist and activist with Save Ocean Science.
