PSAC members rally outside of conservative MP Scott Armstrong’s office

TRURO, NS – Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) members have been organizing various activities on the 19th of every month in order to raise awareness of the upcoming federal election and the need to have a government that stands up for Canadians and the services they depend on.  On Wednesday, they will bring that message in front of their local conservative MP’s office.

“Our monthly mobilization efforts serve as a reminder to the general public of the ideological cuts made to essential programs such as EI, services to our veterans, food safety and much more.’’ said Mark Rogers, union representative for PSAC Atlantic.  He also adds: “We need a new government in place that wants to not only protect, but strengthen public services.  This government is guilty of giving out tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy while cutting essential services to Canadians at times when they need it most.’’
