Union holds silent vigil to mark six months on strike

ST. JOHN’S, NL – 85 striking workers will solemnly acknowledge the six-month-mark of their strike at St. John’s Airport Monday.  Striking workers and supporters will gather at the terminal for a silent vigil and appeal to the Airport CEO and his Board of Directors to end to the prolonged strike.

Backed by a unanimous Canada Industrial Relations Board ruling confirming it is bargaining in good faith, the union continues to fight for a fair and equitable agreement for current and future workers.

Media are invited.
