The PEI Young Workers’ Committee is for PSAC members who are 35 and under. The goal is to seek, recruit, engage, mobilize, and retain young workers.
The committee exists to help educate young workers about the PSAC and the labour movement and raise awareness about and help address young workers’ workplace issues (ageism, work-life balance, etc.)
Some of the things committee members will do is collaborate with other regional committees on various events such as marching in the Pride Parade.
Develop and maintain partnerships with other labour organizations, plan and organize fun events like movie nights and trivia contests. Plan and organize training opportunities relevant to young workers and political lobbying by supporting PSAC campaigns and initiatives.
