FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                         August 16, 2016 New Phoenix pay system: federal employees ask Judy Foote to be paid ST. JOHN’S – On August 18, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and public service employees will rally in Public Services and Procurement Canada Minister Judy Foote’s home province to ask the government to fix the broken Phoenix pay system.

New Phoenix pay system: Public Service Alliance of Canada available for media interviews ST. JOHN’S – The National Executive Vice-President of Public Service Alliance of Canada, Chris Aylward, will be available this week to give interviews and comment on the government’s mishandling of the new pay system for federal public service employees.

My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of those killed or injured in the brutal attack at Pulse Nightclub, a gay bar in Orlando Florida. On June 8, the Public Service Alliance of Canada will be mobilizing its members who work with Treasury Board, including at Parks Canada, the Canadian Border Service Agency, Canada Revenue Agency and the Canadian Food Inspection to demand a quick and fair resolution to contract negotiations with their employers and to support their bargaining teams. 

There will be information meetings on the Memorandum of Settlement and Ratification Votes in St. John's, NL on June 9 & 10, 2016.  Madonna Gardiner, Bargaining Team Member, will be in attendance.  These meetings are open to all employees in the Bargaining Unit.  See poster attached for more information on times and locations.
