The Lecturers’ Union of Memorial University of Newfoundland (LUMUN) – Memorial University is comprised of 70 Post Docs and between 200-300 Per Course Instructors (PCIs) who work at the following locations: Memorial University of NL, Grenfell College, Marine Institute, Labrador Institute, Harlow Campus and research station in Bonne Bay.
For them, being part of a union puts them in the driver’s seat. It helps them in getting a Collective Agreement for their members which also provides job security and rights to their members. It also enables them in having representation and solidarity.
