Deadline for 2015 Atlantic School Applications Extended

Need a bit more time to fill out your 2015 PSAC Atlantic School application? We’re extending the deadline to Friday, April 3, 2015. And remember! If you haven’t taken the Talking Union Basics course, but have some equivalent community or union experience, you are eligible to apply. Built around the theme Building our Union. Building our Power, the school will take place from May 27-31, 2015, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. All costs related to attending are covered.

Currently, our Union is engaged in what stands to be the most difficult round of collective bargaining we have seen for some time. We are also approaching a federal election that will have sweeping implications for our members, our families and the communities where we live. The 2015 school seeks to address this difficult juncture and to prepare participants to face it head on. Conceived around the theme Building our Union. Building our Power. this year’s school is about increasing our capacity to organize and educate members, with a view of building our union’s power as a whole in the Atlantic.
