Sisters and Brothers,
Due to an exciting opportunity forthcoming in our region, the PSAC-Atlantic Regional Council voted to postpone our PSAC-Atlantic school that was scheduled to take place in May 2016.
The Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) is currently working with its affiliates to organize a large union school in the Atlantic Region set to take place in 2018. In that context, various unions will be hosting their school at the exact same time and location. This will enable our members to network with other union members, provide an opportunity to take part in CLC education courses and listen to various guest speakers.
This is an inspiring opportunity and we are looking forward to working with the CLC organizing committee on this important initiative. However, rest assured that we are being cautious and have made the necessary arrangements to hold a PSAC-Atlantic school in 2017 in the unfortunate event that the CLC school does not go ahead as planned.
In the meantime, other advanced education opportunities will be available to members leading up to the Atlantic School. These and our basic education offerings are regularly listed on our website at http://psacatlantic.ca/our-organization/education-program
We will be sending you information as soon as it becomes available.
In solidarity,
Jeannie Baldwin
