PSAC Attends the 2012 Regatta

On August 1st 2012, the PSAC was proud to participate in the festivities at the 194th Royal St. John’s Regatta in Newfoundland. The crowds were huge, and we had some great conversations with members of the public about how we are ALL affected by the Federal cuts to public services. People were very supportive of the cause and many were eager to sign an affected letter for Peter Penashue to stand up for our Public Services. PSAC’s booth featured free face painting and a raffle for a Made Right Here Newfoundland gift basket valued at $250. We also gave away seedlings for spruce and pine trees as well as water bottles to help encourage eco-friendly lifestyles. Brother Gordon Lake volunteered for the day and was a huge help in making this event a success.
