PSAC members at Parks Canada to plan bargaining strategy

PSAC members who work for Parks Canada will meet in Ottawa from April 4-6. They will elect members to represent them in the next round of collective bargaining with their employer. They will also discuss the pressing issues that affect them in their day-to-day work and the improvements they want to see in their next contract.

Parks members will also discuss the impact of recent federal government changes to the collective bargaining process and the current threats to public sector sick leave. They will develop plans to mobilize Parks Canada workers across Canada, to help ensure solid support and unity during the next round of collective bargaining.

PSAC members at Parks Canada play a key role in protecting our country’s national parks, promoting environmental conservation, running educational programs for families and safeguarding our national heritage.
