St. John's Airport - Out of Order
It’s not been business as usual at St. John’s International Airport since 85 employees went on strike in September. And it shows. The strike has interrupted many of the services that maintenance, operations and administrative workers provide to the traveling public, and that the traveling public deserves, like public washrooms that work.
Getting back to the bargaining table and reaching a fair and equitable agreement could ensure that everyone gets the treatment they deserve. Workers deserve wage parity with their colleagues who do the same job at Halifax Airport. They deserve to hold on to the rights they currently have in the work place. No more. No less. And the public? The public deserves an airport that delivers quality service and that is accountable to travelers. No more. No less.
It’s time to get things back in order. It’s time to settle this.
