Vote on CFIA tentative agreement: Atlantic info sessions

As a PSAC member working for the CFIA, you  will be voting on a tentative agreement with your employer between April 24 and June 4, 2014.

Read the ratification kit, including the tentative agreement (PDF)

If you wish to vote, you must ensure that you are a member in good standing and that the union has an up to date mailing address for you. If you have not done this yet, please update your information here. This vote will be conducted electronically, and we need to ensure that only those entitled receive the PIN number required to cast a vote.

Members who have provided home email addresses will be sent the voter packages on Friday, May 9.  Members who have not provided home email addresses will be sent the voter packages by Canada Post on Tuesday, May 6.

If you have already updated your information and still have not received a PIN for the vote, contact our CFIA vote hotline: 1-888-281-8683.

Get the details on the agreement: register for an info session

You must register and attend an informational session either by webinar or in person to be eligible to cast your vote. Attendance will be tracked and only those who attend will have their member profile updated on the eVoting system, enabling them to vote.

Register for a webinar:

To ensure our members have the facts and understand the impact of the tentative agreement, PSAC is holding one hour live and interactive webinars.  Click on your preferred date/time to register for the webinar.  Your PSAC ID is required to register for the webinar.  It is listed in the top right corner of your voter package for easy reference.

Share the link with other members and encourage their registration and participation.  Consider organizing a local meeting and discussion around the webinar, participating as a group.  Each member must register regardless of group attendance as this is what will activate your PIN number and allow you to vote.

Technical notes:

Please join the webinar a few minutes early to make sure you are able to log-in and address any technical problems in advance.

VOIP is available; however, we find that dialing in to the toll free number on your phone while viewing the webinar on your computer may work better, depending on your computer and bandwith.

The webinar may not work on all tablets.

Find an in-person meeting:

The majority of the membership meetings will be held online, but we will be holding serveral in-person meetings in regions where there is a high concentration of members.
