Sisters and Brothers,

Following our successful telephone town hall that was held on January 15th (click here to listen), this is to let you know that our Atlantic Regional Executive Vice-President, Jeannie Baldwin, will be hosting another one, this time on the issue of sick leave.

When: Thursday, March 27th, 6:30 p.m. ATL, 7:00 p.m. NL (English)

Conciliation dates have been set with Canada Post for March 15-16.

Government pushing for an agreement that would expire later this year

Mediation broke down February 27 as the government and CRA refused to address critical issues raised in this round of bargaining, from significant protections for our jobs to compensation to the duration of our collective agreement.

Duration of contract

This is to remind PSAC Locals/Regional Committees that the deadline to submit Resolutions for the 6th Triennial PSAC Atlantic Regional Convention is March 15, 2014. 

Should any PSAC Regional Local/Regional Committee wish to send Resolutions, please do so on or before March 15th to atlconvention@psac-afpc.com

Following the resignation of the previous Director for Aboriginal Members in December 2013; I became PSAC Aboriginal Director for the Atlantic Region. I will carry out the positions’ duties representing Aboriginal members until the Triennial Atlantic Regional Convention, taking place in Saint John, NB, June 20-22, 2014.
