On Sunday November 17th, members from different unions and the community came together to support PSAC in their fight against Bill C-4. We thank Brothers Mark Power, Jack Harris and Earl McCurdy as well as Sister Lana Payne for their words of solidarity and to Sister Lorraine Power-Green for being the M.C.

The latest budget implementation act (Bill C-4) now being debated by Parliament will drastically change and reduce health & safety protections for workers in federal jurisdiction. The proposed changes to the Canada Labour Code put workers’ lives at risk.

SYDNEY, NS - Veterans in Sydney and across the country are mobilizing to stop the closure of the nine Veterans Affairs offices they rely on for face-to-face services. Supporting them in Sydney is a chorus of community members, local organizations, Veterans Affairs workers, unions, and every level of local government, all of whom will be out in force this Saturday at the Veterans March of Concern.
