Following the unprecedented tragedy that took place in Nova Scotia over the weekend, words cannot describe what many in Nova Scotia and across Canada are feeling.

Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, first responders and law enforcement personnel, as well as all the residents of the affected communities. Your shock and pain are shared by many.

As a union with thousands of members employed as front-line officers in law enforcement, our hearts go to the entire community as you deal with the shock and pain of this weekends’ horrific violence.

The Bargaining Committees of the Union and the Employer reached a tentative Collective agreement on February 21, 2020.

Both Bargaining Committees have agreed to unanimously recommend the tentative Collective Agreement to their principals for acceptance.

As per regulation 15C of PSAC's Constitution:  'Ratification votes shall be held at meetings conducted for the purpose of explaining the terms of the tentative agreement, except where the isolated nature of the worksite or shift schedules require that special arrangements be made.'
