INGONISH, NS– Union leaders and a local Member of Parliament joined members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) from Cape Breton and beyond and the community of Ingonish today at an event aimed at stopping the privatization of Highlands Links.  Almost 200 people gathered at the Ingonish Fire Hall to send a message to Ottawa.

PSAC Members in New Brunswick participated in the September 15th National Day of Action in different ways.  Some organized an information plant gate at their work site, while others organized some family activities on that day to convey their message.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada says it is willing to go back to the table at any time to resolve a labour dispute at St. John's International Airport.  Yesterday the Airport Authority accused the union of not being willing to negotiate, and of making reckless statements.  Union spokesperson Chris Bussey says they're willing to sit down with the Airport Authority at any time.
