This is a reminder of the NS Area Council1 Annual General Meeting to be held Wednesday, November 5th at 5:30 pm in the PSAC Boardroom.

PSAC women gathered recently at the Inn at the Pier to talk about their role in saving Canada Post, re-thinking child care, stopping Harper’s cuts and contacting the Senate on Bill C 377 as well as have a little fun. Actions on all these issues was achieved.

Guest Speaker J. D. Samuelson spoke and showed her film “Women of Confederation”. We highly recommend this short animated film.

Becka Viau, artist and activist, spoke on Saturday and inspired all with her commitment and wisdom on women’s and human rights issues.

New Brunswick

Gagetown: UNDE 60303 & UNDE 60380 organized a demo during their lunch break.

Saint John: AGR 60007, GSU 60007, USGE 60074, UTE 60005 & UVAE 60006 organized a demo in front of their local Conservative MP's office during their lunch break.

Prince Edward Island

Summerside: UTE 90006 held a lunch/supper break and were outside for 19 minutes.

Nova Scotia

Bridgewater: CEIU 80215 held a demo for 19 minutes during their lunch break.

PSAC members continue with their monthly mobilizing activities

 

ST. JOHN’S, NL – Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) members have been organizing various activities on the 19th of every month in order to raise awareness on the upcoming federal election and the need to have a government that stands up for Canadians and the services they depend on.
