This week, PSAC members who reside in the NB Southwest riding received a flyer also known as 'ten percenter' from their local MP, John Williamson.  This flyer had only one intent: attack public sector benefits.  We are replying by sending him our very own 'ten percenter'! The REVP for PSAC Atlantic, Jeannie Baldwin, also sent him a letter requesting a meeting to explain the valuable services PSAC members deliver on a daily basis.

PSAC members to rally outside conservative MP Rodney Weston’s office

SAINT JOHN, NB - Public Service Alliance of Canada members will be rallying for 15 minutes outside conservative MP Rodney Weston’s office during their lunch hour to tell him that they will not give away their sick leave and other hard earned benefits protected in their collective agreement.

On September 27-28, 2014, 14 Aboriginal PSAC members came from all over the Atlantic to K’jipuktuk (Halifax) to attend Our Communities, Our Union, Our Rights: An introduction to the PSAC for Aboriginal Members

The training provided a forum for members to discuss critical issues facing Aboriginal people in their union, in their workplaces and in society. It also made space for members to learn from each other’s experiences.  Participants came away with a solid foundation in union basics and a grasp on how to engage in the union to advance Aboriginal rights.
