The next federal election will be held on October 19, 2015.
On the 19th of every month, PSAC members in the Atlantic Region will take actions in highlighting the number 19.
Join members on September 19th at 12:19 p.m. outside Daniel J. MacDonald bldg. (Grafton St. entrance) for a 19 minute demo.

Carol McGregor Award 2014

Nominations are once again open for the Carol McGregor CLC Disability Rights Award.
 
The CLC created this award to recognize the outstanding contributions of a worker with a disability who has made a significant and lasting impact in their union and/or the community by promoting and defending the rights of persons with disabilities.
 
The award is given annually and announced on December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

PEI Regional Women's Committee - AGM

The P.E.I. Regional Women’s Committee held their AGM meeting on September 8th. In attendance were members from CEIU, UTE and UVAE. Jeannie Baldwin, REVP Atlantic, swore in the newly elected committee members.

Equality Garden Party

The PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women recently sponsored an Equality Garden Party. Host, Hon. Catherine Callbeck honored female leaders in her speech.
