Activists Organize Strolling Strong for Child Care Event In Corner Brook, NL

CORNER BROOK, NL – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s Women’s Committee and human rights committee are organizing Strolling Strong for Child Care in Corner Brook, NL in order to raise awareness on the need for a publicly funded, quality, non-profit child care system.

The Government of Canada’s Speech from the Throne, this autumn, has committed to building such a system. The realization of this commitment will go a long way to ensuring that women and parents of young children have better access to decent work.
