PSAC Regional Women's Committees (RWCs) provide an opportunity for PSAC women to organize in their regions and work together collectively. They give recognition and credibility to women's rights as an important concern of the union. Committees aim to inform and educate women on the political, social, economic, and workplace issues that affect them. RWCs also speak for women with a strong, common voice and advocate policies that promote women's rights. They also mobilize women to participate in the union and to take action on the issues and empower women with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to exercise effective leadership.

International Women's Day is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action promoting gender parity. Significant events are witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Thank you to our regional committees who worked tirelessly in December in order to support society’s less fortunate.
Lynette Robinson, on behalf of the NS Area Council 1, delivered a donation of socks, mitts, gloves, coats, and various other items to the Phoenix Youth Shelter based in Halifax, NS on December 17, 2020. Phoenix was the only organization accepting this kind of donation in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
