This past weekend, members of the PSAC St. John's Young Workers Committee took part in the 2018 Spare Some Love Bowling in support of the Ronald McDonald House.
The SJYWC raised $700 in support of the Ronald McDonald House for the Spare Some Love annual bowling fundraiser.
8 young workers attended. The four young workers on the SJYWC team were Brian Gallant (UTE 90001), Kayode Oluwadairo (TAUMUN), Leanne Moss (UNE 99242), Shad Rahman (TAUMUN).
CEIU local 90113 also submitted a team consisting of Allison Doyle, Karla White, Melissa Thomas and Melissa White. Thank you to PSAC Atlantic and to all of you who donated to support this great cause.

Since the PSAC St. John’s Young Workers Committee (SJYWC) was formed on March 25, 2015 and throughout the past year we have many accomplishments we would like to share with you.

Please find in attachment a letter I sent to the female MPs in our Region in regards to child care. Our members are directly impacted by the high cost of child care and year after year, resolutions are adopted at our Conventions urging our Union to take concrete steps in working towards quality affordable child care system in Canada.
PSAC invites young workers from the four Atlantic Provinces to apply to attend a Young Workers Symposium at the Terra Nova Hospitality Home and Cottages in Port Blandford, Newfoundland and Labrador, from 6pm, Friday, November 4 to 1pm, Sunday, November 6, 2016 Port Blandford, Newfoundland and Labrador.
