Atlantic Region well Represented at the 2013 PSAC National Health & Safety Conference Under the theme "Mental Health at Work - We are all Affected" the Atlantic Region had 55 delegates and observes participate at the National H&S Conference in Montreal, April 11 - 14, 2013.
PSAC Atlantic and the Social Justice Fund invite PSAC Atlantic members with a deep commitment to international social justice to apply to be a part of the Breaking the Silence delegation traveling to Guatemala this year from October 20 to November 1, 2013. The delegation is organized by the Tatamagouche Centre.
On March 27th, the Greater Moncton Human Rights committee was among the proud sponsors of the Continent-wide Water is More Precious than Gold tour to raise awareness of the negative impact of Canadian mining operations on El Salvador.
UNDE members from local 60303 and the Fredericton District labour council members decided it was time for the public to know exactly the real impacts of job and services cuts in their region. For the last 5 Saturdays, they were present in different shopping malls of the Oromocto/Fredericton area with their information table. Hundreds of people visited their "We Are All Affected" table and the reaction from the public was overwhelmingly positive.
