FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 25, 2018 Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada Rally for a Fair Collective Agreement NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR– On September 26, members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be rallying across the province at various workplaces demanding that their employer, the Government of Canada, negotiates a fair collective agreement in a timely manner.

SJF Sponsorship program:  For Young Workers (18 – 35 years).    In addition to the subsidies provided to four young workers, the project is open to all PSAC members, who are able to cover their own expenses (see application for details).   PSAC Social Justice Fund invites your members to participate in the next “Education In Action” project in Guatemala for 2 weeks in spring 2019.

Congratulations to members of UCTE Local 90901 who ratified their new collective agreement! The 5-year contract which will expire in April 2023 includes wage increases for every year of the agreement, an increase in RRSP contributions and other improvements. Once again, congratulations to the bargaining team and the union membership!

Greetings Sisters and Brothers, We are writing on behalf of Atlantic Council to all non-treasury board (non-TB) and separate employer members of the PSAC who want their voices heard on the regional council. The non-TB / separate employer portfolio is very diverse, and its members face unique challenges as they are not subject to some of the benefits of being included under the umbrella of the Treasury Board, or, in the case of separately employed members, even under the Federal Government as a whole.
