Labour Day is Monday, September 7, 2015.  The official event listing for the Atlantic Region can be found on the Canadian Labour Congress website.     Commencing August 31st, PSAC-Atlantic will be airing radio ads to commemorate this important day.  These radio ads will run in each province and can be found below.   Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable Labour Day!

New Brunswick   Province-wide: Members of UEW 60067 put together packages of election issue information from PSAC and distributed it to their members.    Dorchester: Members of USGE 60020 & 60128 organized a demo during their lunch break.   Gagetown: Members of UNDE 60303 organized a bbq and rally.   Prince Edward Island   Summerside: Members of UTE 90006 distributed the CLC’s Better Choice cards.

HALIFAX, July 14, 2015 /CNW/ - The Public Service Alliance of Canada is today launching a nationwide campaign to remind Canadians about the impact of cuts to public services before they vote in the federal election. At the 2015 PSAC national convention, delegates directed the union to campaign and raise public awareness about the impact of cuts to public services by the Harper Conservatives.

Federal Election Campaigner Training

Please be advised that the Federal Election Campaigner Training has been POSTPONED.  The new date will be announced shortly.  This two-day, skills-based course will prepare PSAC members in and around targeted ridings to play a hands-on role in the upcoming federal election.  Attached is a poster with more information on this course and how to register.
