The Atlantic Region of the Public Service Alliance of Canada is pleased to provide an opportunity for Aboriginal members to learn how they can navigate the structures of the PSAC.  This course has been designed for members who have had little or no previous involvement with their union and is a great first step to understanding how unions work for working people. This two-day training will provide members with a way of empowering themselves to effect change in their workplaces, communities and union.

FREDERICTON, NB – Members of the Union of Graduate Student Workers (UGSW), Local 60550, at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton and Saint John) met on February 29 and March 1st to review and vote on the employer’s final offer. This vote has resulted in 72% rejection of that Final Offer!  See attached news release for more information.

Due to an exciting opportunity forthcoming in our region, the PSAC-Atlantic Regional Council voted to postpone our PSAC-Atlantic school that was scheduled to take place in May 2016.

PSAC-Atlantic and the Social Justice Fund invite PSAC-Atlantic members with a deep commitment to international social justice to apply to be a part of the Breaking the Silence delegation traveling to Guatemala this year from April 30 to May 13, 2016. The delegation is organized by the Tatamagouche Centre.   Please submit your applpication to Sébastien Bezeau (bezeaus@psac.com) by February 25, 2016.

The PSAC Health & Safety Conferenc e is scheduled to be held on April 22-24, 2016 at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel, Halifax, NS.  Attached is the call out letter and the application form.  Please refer to those documents for more information on the conference.  Note that the deadline to submit your application is March 11, 2016.
