Greetings Sisters and Brothers, We are writing on behalf of Atlantic Council to all non-treasury board (non-TB) and separate employer members of the PSAC who want their voices heard on the regional council. The non-TB / separate employer portfolio is very diverse, and its members face unique challenges as they are not subject to some of the benefits of being included under the umbrella of the Treasury Board, or, in the case of separately employed members, even under the Federal Government as a whole.

The main objectives of PSAC's young workers' committees are to educate young workers about the labour movement as a whole; to engage, mobilize and retain young workers and raise awareness about the critical issues that young workers face today. PSAC members under the age of 35 can take part in their regional young workers' committee.

Yesterday, young workers in PEI came together and formed a Young Workers Committee.  What an excellent turnout!  Congratulations to the members of the executive: Co-chairs: Joel McKinnon and Hannah Klein Treasurer:  Carson Younker Secretary: Sophie Quinn Communications Director: Jessica Chaisson

On behalf of the PSAC Social Justice Fund Anti Poverty initiative, we were proud to present a cheque in the amount of $2,500 to the NB Common Front for Social Justice. In the photo: Colleen Coffey, REVP and Jean-Claude Basque, Provincial Coordinator.

Members of UVEA 90001 in Charlottetown are no strangers to collecting food for the local food bank. They did so during National Public Service Week.

PEI Young Workers' Committee Inaugural Meeting - July 11, 2018

Our PSAC office is now open at its new location: 119 Kent Street, Suite 510 in Charlottetown.   We will be celebrating with an Open House that will be taking place on Tuesday, September 4 from 5-7 pm. Our National President, Chris Aylward, will also be attending.   In the meantime, feel free to drop by! While we are still unpacking, our dedicated staff, Geneviève and Alex, will be more than happy to give you a brief tour of the office. They always welcome the opportunity to meet with members. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

We hope to see many PSAC members at various pride parades in the Atlantic Region this summer. See below a list of dates for the parades.
