  Area councils are political fora for the PSAC in the region.  They allow discussion, collaboration and activism across DCL and Component lines.  Area Councils are recognized in the PSAC Constitution and their delegates have voice and vote at PSAC National Conventions and the right to submit resolutions to both PSAC National and Regional Conventions. These bodies are given status by the PSAC through the Regional Executive Vice-President. Sisters, Brothers and Friends, Please take the time to add your signature to petition E-1833 which calls upon the Government of Canada to: (a) enact legislation banning conversion therapy to minors in Canada; (b) enact legislation prohibiting transporting minors outside of the country for such purposes; and (c) have conversion therapy included in the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code, to protect children from abuse.

NOVA SCOTIA Halifax event on December 6 begins at 5:15 pm at the Halifax Public Library on Spring Garden for the outside vigil - Join us at this gender inclusive and alcohol free event that will begin outside the front entrance of the Halifax Central Library, for the candlelight vigil. Following, we will go inside of the Halifax Central Library’s Paul O’Regan Hall for refreshments, music, action, and a screening of the film, Polytechnique.

Dear Brothers, Sisters, Members, Friends, I would like to take this opportunity to properly introduce myself to you. My name is Michelle Neill and I was elected asDirector for Persons with Disabilities at our PSAC’s 7th Triennial Atlantic Convention held in June of 2017. When I addressed the Persons with Disabilities’ caucus, I advised that I wanted to improve upon a communication network for all persons with disabilities in our Region.

The 2019 PSAC Calendars have arrived! PSAC staff from the regional offices will be getting in touch with locals shortly to distribute the calendars. 

The Union of National Defence Employees (UNDE) Local 60303 is comprised of approximatively 625 members who work at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, and at Canadian Forces Reserve Units in Fredericton, Saint John, Bathurst NB as well as Charlottetown PEI.
