FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 23, 2017 Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada Rally to Denounce the Phoenix Pay System SAINT JOHN, NB – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) who are meeting at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre in Saint John, NB for their 7th Triennial PSAC-Atlantic Regional Convention will be organizing a march followed by a demo to demonstrate their frustrations in regards to the Phoenix Pay System.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 22, 2017 Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada Come Together in Saint John, NB for their Triennial Convention SAINT JOHN, NB – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be gathering at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre in Saint John, NB from June 23 – 25 for their 7th Triennial PSAC-Atlantic Regional Convention.  Over 350 delegates, guests and observers are expected.

Call for Nominations for PSAC ATLANTIC Regional Council Positions This is the official call for nominations for the positions of Regional Council for the PSAC Atlantic.  Elections for these positions will be held at the Atlantic Regional Convention in Saint John, New Brunswick, June 23 to 25, 2017. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 12th, 2017 Federal Government Employees Boycott National Public Service Week Due to Phoenix Pay System SUMMERSIDE, PEI – Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) employed by the Government of Canada will be boycotting National Public Service Week (NPSW) and asking the government to fix the Phoenix Pay System. The NPSW started yesterday and will run until the 17th.

As your Director for GLBT members on the PSAC-Atlantic Regional Council, I will soon be joining many PSAC members across Canada and people around the world to recognize the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. On May 17, 1990, the World Health Assembly of the World Health Organization approved the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10) which no longer listed homosexuality as a diagnosis.

To honour our Sisters and Brothers who have passed away, we have a tradition in which we hold a moment of silence during our Convention.    I invite you to send to my office the names of PSAC Atlantic region members who have passed away since our last Regional Convention in June 2014.   Please send those names and local affiliation to Sébastien Bezeau, Political Communications Officer (bezeaus@psac-afpc.com) by Friday, June 2.   Thank you.
