Directly Chartered Locals

The PSAC is comprised of 15 Components and Directly Chartered Locals (DCLs). DCLs represent members employed by private employers, municipal governments and the academic sector, just to name a few. 
 
This page is dedicated to DCLs.  You can download booklets and information sheets that will help you run an effective local.  We will also be posting updates on bargaining, campaigns and other information related to DCLs.  After all, in the Atlantic Region, we have 18 DCLs:

In the event that the DCLs need an issue addressed at the National Board of Directors (NBoD), they do so via PSAC-Atlantic’s Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP).  On the regional level, they can contact their director that represent them at the PSAC-Atlantic Regional Council.  Those officers are elected at the PSAC-Atlantic Triennial Regional Convention that takes place every three years.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 26, 2020 PSAC Members Ratify Tentative Agreement with The University of New Brunswick FREDERICTON, NB – The University of New Brunswick, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), and Local 60551 or the Professional, Technical, Staff Union (PTSU), are pleased to announce they have signed a first collective agreement for the PTSU bargaining unit. The PTSU bargaining unit includes over 370 employees on both campuses who provide a broad range of services to students, faculty and other staff.

May 14, 2020   RE: Support for women who work in transition houses   Premier McNeil,   We applaud the federal government’s announcement to cost share wage tops-ups for critical front-line workers in the province. The challenge will be in ensuring that every front-line worker receives this well-deserved raise. All front-line workers are placing their own health and safety at risk in order to protect ours and that needs to be recognized.

These employees provide a broad range of services to students, faculty and other staff.
