Bargaining

Your bargaining team recently met with the Corps of Commissionaires to exchange bargaining proposals and begin the bargaining process.   Please see letter from your team attached.

April 18th,2015, Summerside UTE Local 90006 Local members took part in a national day of action in support of a fair contract. They asked their members to show support to their bargaining team by wearing bright yellow Tshirts and plant gated  650+ handouts asking members to support the bargaining team. The handout also included a letter from PSAC President Robyn Benson "We Will Protect Our Sick Leave".

The long-awaited arbitration decisions for both the Regional Officer and the Field Interviewer bargaining units were finally released late on Monday, March 30, 2015. PSAC will be analyzing the arbitral awards for both the RO and FI units and will be posting this analysis, along with previously signed-off language, on the PSAC website as soon as possible. In the interim, we can share with you the following:

All Treasury Board members are invited to join us for a Town Hall Meeting.   Gail Lem, Program and Administrative Services lead Negotiator, will be in attendance to provide an update on the status of Treasury Board Negotiations. An information picket was held at St. Thomas University by PSAC/STUSAU members on Monday, January 19th.  PSAC members at St. Thomas University have been in negotiations for over 4 years with their employer, have recently voted to take strike action and are now awaiting news as to whether or not the employer will go back to the table.

This Holiday Season we are doing a theme around "The Ghost of Bargaining Past". We have decorated our office tree with ornaments and ribbons outlining some of our past achievements in bargaining and sadly, some that are lost or threatened. Find attached the card we have mailed out to our Locals as well as the poem "Twas The Night Before Bargaining".
