Bargaining

The Atlantic Region of the Public Service Alliance of Canada and our 18,000 members across the region hereby request that you immediately appoint an Industrial Inquiry Commission under section 73 of the Trade Union Act. As evidenced by this year-long strike, the owners of the Chronicle Herald and their workers need balance in trying to reach a tentative agreement.

Sisters and Brothers, Thank you for the support you have demonstrated to the PSAC members who work at the Pay centres and thank you for having voiced your concerns about Phoenix.  You sent letters to your local MPs, commented on social media and participated in various union events.  We all know the problem is with the pay system itself and not the workers.

October 13, 2016 To: PSAC PEI Commissionaires (all local 90140 members):   From: Your Bargaining team   Your bargaining team met with the Employer on October 12-13, 2016.    This meeting provided an opportunity for our team to meet with the Employer in advance of the expiry date of your existing collective agreement’s wage re-opener (March 31, 2017).   

There will be several information meetings for the Union of Taxation Employees in Saint John, Moncton and Bathurst.  We will be providing information on the tentative agreement. Bob Campbell, UTE National President or Doug Gaetz, UTE Regional Executive Vice-President will be in attendance.  These meetings are open to all employees in the Bargaining Unit.  A RATIFICATION VOTE will be conducted.  Date Location

On Friday, June 24th, a new collective agreement was signed between the PSAC (UCTE 60605) and the Greater Moncton International Airport. 

A historic moment on Wednesday, June 22nd when the Public Service Alliance of Canada SBEU Local 60702 and the Province of New Brunswick signed their first collective agreement.   Front row:  Hon.
