For International Human Rights Day the three PSAC committees located in Halifax, NS wanted to come together an give back to the community.
The Halifax Regional Women's Committee, Halifax Human Rights Committee and Nova Scotia Area Council 1 all donated some funds and their time, to prepare a spaghetti dinner for up to 150 Haligonians at Soul's Harbour Rescue Mission.
Volunteers from the committees and from our Locals, bought the supplies and showed up early to cook, plate and serve on December 10th, 2016 in recognition of International Human Rights Day.
Warm socks, gloves and a treat packages was given to each guest, along with dinner and cake.
There was a leftover cake that was not touched so volunteers brought it down to Metro Turning Point, a homeless shelter for men, where it was very much appreciated.
