UPCE Bargaining Update - Sessions to be held  in Saint John, Fredericton and Moncton, New Brunswick.  See poster attached for more information for time and location of sessions.

The Atlantic Regional Council met in Halifax on February 9 and 10, 2013.  Despite a major storm, the meeting went ahead and a lot was accomplished.  Here are some highlights.

ST. JOHN’S, NL -  Federal Mediator Barney Dobbin called the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the St. John’s International Airport Authority back to the table this morning to resume negotiation. 

MIRAMICHI, NB – The Committee Against EI Changes will hold a community information session on Monday, February 18, 2013, to discuss reforms to the Employment Insurance system that came into effect January 13, 2013. 

The Nova Scotia Federation of Labour is hosting EI Forums across the province to talk about the regressive changes to EI implemented by the Conservative government and how we can actively campaign to get the Government to scrap the changes and talk about real reforms to EI.

All PSAC Members from the TC bargaining group in PEI are invited to attend this important information meeting.
