Dear Sirs,

After 47 years of contaminated air and water, broken promises and broken pipes, Pictou Landing First Nation was promised that after January 30, 2020, pulp effluent would stop flowing into Boat Harbour, and clean up would being.

The Nova Scotia Government gave Northern Pulp almost 5 years notice to have a new treatment system up and running.

Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Receive Overwhelming Strike Mandate

NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR–The Lecturers’ Union of Memorial University of Newfoundland (LUMUN), who are members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), held strike votes earlier this month and received an overwhelming strike mandate from their members.
