Updates

Dear Brothers, Sisters, Members, Friends,

I would like to take this opportunity to properly introduce myself to you. My name is Michelle Neill and I was elected asDirector for Persons with Disabilities at our PSAC’s 7th Triennial Atlantic Convention held in June of 2017.

When I addressed the Persons with Disabilities’ caucus, I advised that I wanted to improve upon a communication network for all persons with disabilities in our Region.

The 2019 PSAC Calendars have arrived! PSAC staff from the regional offices will be getting in touch with locals shortly to distribute the calendars.

The Union of National Defence Employees (UNDE) Local 60303 is comprised of approximatively 625 members who work at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, and at Canadian Forces Reserve Units in Fredericton, Saint John, Bathurst NB as well as Charlottetown PEI.

The Atlantic regional staff will attend their annual conference from November 5-9th. PSAC strongly believes in professional development and training for union staff. In order for all staff to participate, our regional offices will be closed during this period. If you have an urgent matter, please call Regional Coordinator Erin Sirett at 902-229-2123. For all other matters, staff will respond to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

On behalf of the PSAC Social Justice Fund Anti Poverty initiative, we were proud to present a cheque in the amount of $1,000 to Libra House. In the photo: Colleen Coffey and Jessica Keating.

Bargaining teams representing nearly 90,000 federal public service workers need your help. The next bargaining sessions will be held on November 27-29 for table specific proposals and December 4-6 for common issues proposals. At those sessions, our bargaining team members will need to demonstrate to the employer that they have the support of PSAC members.
