Once again the PSAC and its members showed their support and marched in Halifax's 25th Annual Pride Parade. Everyone had a blast, and the turnout for the parade was phenomenal!

The PSAC participated in the Council of Canadians rally against the privatization of health care, and opposed Harper's planned $31 billion in budget cuts to public health care. We are ALL affected!

PSAC member Miles States talking with sisters from NSGEU local 68 on day 5 of their strike. The 4 employees of the Elizabeth Fry Society are on strike for fairness. They have not received an economic increase for 6 years and work with some of the most vulnerable members of society. After 8 days on the line we are happy to report that the sisters now have a 1st collective agreement

OROMOCTO, NB - The Union of National Defence Employees (UNDE) has been committed since April to making every effort to fight back against cuts to jobs and services announced in the federal budget. UNDE asked Locals to mobilize to challenge any cuts to core services. Today the UNDE local in at CFB Gagetown answered that call. 

OROMOCTO, NB - The Union of National Defence Employees (UNDE), which represents approximately 20,000 public and private sector workers at Department of National Defence establishments across Canada, is hosting a press conference in Oromocto. The event is an opportunity for the public to learn about significant cuts to civilian defence workers at CFB Gagetown and the impact on the community of Oromocto.
